The FSSC 22000 scheme sets out the requirements for certification bodies to develop, implement and operate a certification scheme and to guarantee its impartiality and competence. The certification scheme sets out the requirements to assess the food safety system of food manufacturing organizations and to issue a certificate. This certificate indicates that the organizations food safety system is in conformance with the requirements which are given in this scheme and that the organization is able to maintain conformance with these requirements.
