How our TCP approach works
Total Customer Performance is our means of turning customer needs into satisfaction.
We start by understanding your product packaging and to-market needs. With a clear picture of your needs, we then go about developing flexible packaging solutions that improve your packed product’s functionality, boost its shelf appeal, increase its environmental performance, increase efficiency in your packing lines or more. At the same time, we help you find new ways to shorten production or make-ready time frames as well as decrease costs. And we ensure that we have delivered on the criteria that matter most to you.
The approach includes these steps:
1. Joint briefing:
Together, we analyze your product packaging needs within the context of your criteria (cost, functional, environmental, shelf appeal, look & feel, etc.) and your marketplace
2. Analysis
During the analysis phase, our joint teams examine packaging solutions to identify opportunities for improvement. The task is to define and meet your specific requirements for optimising packed product performance, pack appeal as well as supply chain and production line efficiencies. Optimising packed product performance and pack appeal involves analysing:
- Barrier properties
- Pack and seal integrity
- Pack stability
- Pack appearance
- On-pack printing
- Convenience features like laser perforation, tactile feeling, etc.
3. Solutions development
Flextrus team members then convert your requirements into new pack prototypes and solutions. Depending on your needs, we either develop entirely new concepts or use our proven pre-made materials - and match them with printing, convenience features - into shelf-ready concepts. Samples are tested and verified in your packing line where we help you optimise the entire process, including machine setup parameters for optimal performance. Full findings are presented with complete documentation.
4. Start-up services, implementation and launch
Solutions are selected for scale-up and full-scale production. Flextrus supports trial runs and production at customer packing lines, include any training of processing line personnel. We provide full documentation to demonstrate quality, traceability, security-of-supply, validation, etc.
5. Follow-up
Together, we review the outcome to ensure your needs were resolved in an efficient manner.
