Creation of AR Packaging Group formally finalised

The necessary arrangements for Ahlström and Accent Equity to combine its packaging operations and form AR Packaging Group AB, consisting of A&R Carton and Flextrus, are now completed.

Ahlström and Accent Equity announced in June their plans to combine the packaging industry operations of the two companies. The necessary arrangements are now completed, and the new company AR Packaging Group and its owner structure became effective as of 26th August 2011.

The merger strengthens the competitiveness of the constituent companies A&R Carton and Flextrus, which will continue to operate on the market as separate companies and brands.

AR Packaging Group will have an annual turnover of about EUR 500 million and 2,000 employees in 18 factories and 8 countries in Europe.
