Flextrus, Flexmed and Flexopac join forces
Flextrus acquired Flexmed and Flexopac, two flexible packaging companies based in Sweden, during the summer of 2010. Now with sales of 95 million euro and 315 employees, Flextrus is a stronger flexible packaging partner offering unique solutions to the food and healthcare sectors in Northern Europe.
The acquisitions not only strengthen the Flextrus Group’s local presence and ability to provide higher levels of personal service to its customers. They have also considerably deepened Flextrus’ expertise in flexible packaging for the food and healthcare industries as well as broadened Flextrus’ product range.

Flexmed focused on the healthcare industry in Europe, manufacturing and marketing advanced barrier packaging based on paper, print and cold seal in Landskrona (Sweden). In 2009, Flexmed had a turnover of 8 million euro and 30 employees.
Flexopac primarily focused on the Nordic food industry, supplying flexible packaging from its base in Halmstad (Sweden). The company grew strongly in recent years thanks to its focus on providing superior service and expertise in high quality flexo printing of both film- and paper-based materials. In 2009, Flexopac has a turnover of 10 million euro and 35 employees.
