Flextrus merges with Flexopac and grows in the nordic market
Flextrus has acquired the Swedish packaging company Flexopac. Together the companies will strengthen their offering as a complete supplier with local service to primarily the nordic food and healthcare sectors. After the acquisition Flextrus has sales of 95 million euro and 315 employees.
Flexopac supplies flexible packaging materials primarily to the Nordic food industry. The company has grown strongly thanks to its focus on service in terms of short lead times and high quality flexo print on both film and paper materials. Flexopac has a turnover of 10 million euro and 35 employees.
Flextrus is one of the leaders in environmentally responsible flexible packaging in Northern Europe. Its customers are in the food and healthcare sectors.
In July 2010 the Swedish-based packaging company Flexmed, focused on the healthcare sector, joined Flextrus. The mergers with Flexmed, and now Flexopac, make Flextrus a more complete and stronger partner to demanding customers within the food and healthcare industries.
