Improved product quality of Grandiosa pizzas

Procordia improved crispiness of their pizzas with Flextrus material.

By using an APET-coated paper from Flextrus when packing frozen Grandiosa pizzas Procordia’s the pizzas are more crispy when micro heated. The newly developed material enables less moisture to be trapped in the pack and it has better stiffness. The APET layer also contributes with an improved fat and aroma barrier, which secures a high product quality.

This new packaging solution for Procordia pizzas is an example of how Flextrus’ extensive competencies at our different sites can be used in an optimal way, with APET extrusion coating in Lund and HD flexo printing in Halmstad.
