MARKS & SPENCER LAUNCHES SLICED MEAT IN FLEXTRUS PAPERLITE®
The British retail chain Marks & Spencer is the first company to choose FLEXTRUS PAPERLITE® as a packaging solution for sliced meat. The FSC-certified material can be formed in existing thermoforming lines without requiring costly investments. Marks & Spencer’s choice of PAPERLITE® is in line with its innovation ambitions underpinned with environmental credentials.

PACKAGING INNOVATION AWARD 2009 TO FLEXTRUS PAPERLITE®
Flextrus has developed PaperLite® that has a true paper look and feel. The material is based on FibreForm® from Billerud and runs very well on existing Form Fill & Seal lines. Flextrus PaperLite® is FSC certified and gives huge environmental advantage compared to thermoformed plastic trays. It can be thermoformed into creative designs bringing out new branding possibilities. PaperLite® was awarded the Packaging Innovation Award
2009 at the Scanpack exhibition in Gothenburg.

Flextrus has in cooperation with Amcor Australia supplied a new attractive packaging, caled Four Fresh, for KR Castlemaine in Australia. Its innovative point of sales features and consumer convenience has been acknowledge by winning several awards.

Flextrus supplies flexible extruded materials that meet high standard requirements for packaging and technical applications. Raw materials used include paper and carton, and plastics such as virgin and recycled PET and our products are mainly used for packaging food and other demanding products. Flextrus adds value through close customer relations and a thorough understanding of customer needs. Flextrus are providing high quality materials that are produced with a unique extrusion production capability and high-class flexo printing.
With our head office in Lund , Sweden , Flextrus maintains more than 50 years of experience in the development of creative packaging solutions and forms a part of the highly developed and important packaging cluster in the Malmo region, in the south of Sweden . The group operates two plants; Lund , Sweden and Somerset , United Kingdom and has a turnover of 85 MEUR and 250 employees.
Flextrus was created in April 2008 as a result of a Management Buy Out from Amcor. Swedish private equity firm Accent together with members of the Flextrus management team jointly own the Flextrus group.
